I am faced with being asked this question over and over again, so I thought I would make it my blog.
We all know that LIFE HAPPENS… and when I say that I mean the crappy stuff we don’t want. It sucks, it pulls us down, makes us feel tired and lifeless, and all we want is an out… We just want a glimmer of hope, something that will show us there is a better way! It might be you’re seeking a job or a new place to live. You may have some financial concerns or are just are tired of feeling alone.
What I am about to say may not sit well with you, so please know it is my opinion. You don’t have to agree with it, but it is how I have learned to live my life. And I can say wholeheartedly that it wasn’t always this way. I used to be more reactive and would look for people or situations to blame. But over years of coaching and general life experience, I’ve just seen greater benefits and way better results by doing it a different way!
Most of us look to having something GOOD happen in order to make us feel better, but when we are sitting in a place of feeling sad or thinking life has beaten us, I am sorry to say but this energy simply won’t allow any good to come. All it will do is bring more negative and the hard truth is, WE ARE CAUSING THE BLOCKAGE. No matter how much we pray or ask for what we want using the words we have learned, the universe doesn’t hear us because it doesn’t understand spoken English. What it does understand, however, is ENERGY and VIBRATIONAL FREQUENCIES. Therefore, instead of relying on that ONE THING to come along and make us feel better, what we in fact have to do to start attracting bigger and better things is to……….. GET HAPPY!
We have to find a way to increase the vibration inside of us; that is how the good will come. Abraham Hicks talks a lot about this and uses the analogy about tuning into a radio station. Think of the songs you like that play on your favourite station; lets just use 98.5FM. if your dial is set to 95.7FM, those songs simply won’t play. It is exactly the same for you! You won’t hear or see the good if you don’t tune yourself in.
The law of attraction measures energy; whatever your energy field is emitting, you will get more of it. So in order to GET WHAT YOU REALLY WANT…. You have to find a way to change your internal frequency. The higher it gets, the more magic will come.
I personally faced some challenges in 2015, and I found in order for me to change my internal frequency, I needed to be around unconditional love, which meant me getting on a plane to Australia and being around my niece and nephew. Just having them come and jump on my bed, or having my nephew tell me he loves me and my niece sitting, writing my PowerPoint presentation with me, melted my heart and softened me. Through this contact, I was able to let go of the frustration that I was holding onto and guess what??? Everything started to come together. It didn’t happen overnight, in a week or even a month. For me, it was more like a period of 6 months, during which I visited them 3 times. I am not saying that for you the process will take that long; I guess it all depends on what it is you’re going through.
Finding something that connects to your heart will help to soften you and begin to raise your vibration. It could be hanging out with family members as I did, or perhaps the love of an animal or asking for support from an intimate partner. It could be going to a retreat to seek some solitude, joining an activity group or just playing your favourite sports. Even cooking or baking or scrapbooking if that is what you like. Whatever helps you to feel happier, more fulfilled, more loved: GET DOING IT!
Louise Hay in her book, You Can Heal Your Life, talks about how to “Look to the child within”. Whatever you used to do as a child that made you happy, chances are will still make you happy. So have a think about that, and if you’re stuck, start doing some of those things immediately.
Life is what you make it!! So go make it the best you can. As the famous quote by Ben Sweetland goes… “Happiness is a journey NOT a destination”.
